Please provide copies of training certificates to our Troop Training Chair to record.
Certification expirations are listed here.

Baden Powell Institute: Typically held the first Saturday in February. A great training day for all levels of experience in adult leadership. Includes a great lunch, been held last few years at Kent-Stark Conference Center.

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT): Typically held the first full week in June after school lets out. The Scout will get a $50 discount to summer camp – meaning the real cost is only $110 for the week! In-Residence training at Camp McKinley, the adult Scouters that perform this training are some of our best. Incredible week for the Scouts to attend. Preliminary meeting in May, need to be 13 and 1st Class, with Scoutmaster approval. Also has some follow-up tasks due by September with a recognition event celebrating the completion of the program in October.

Wood Badge Training: Typically held every other year, this is advanced leader training. Very much worth the time and effort to take. Numerous dates involved, make sure you can attend all sessions. Some follow-up committments required.

Guide to Safe Scouting: Most recent version of Scouting’s Guide to Safe Scouting which is updated annually. Required reference material for adult leaders.
